These terms apply to the vayl app for Android and iPhone and to vaylapp.com. They cover writing teaching cases, studying them, and looking up the Drug Library.

vayl is a study notebook, not a medical device. Use it to learn from teaching cases, keep patients unidentifiable, and on the ward follow your supervisors.
vayl is an educational notebook for medical students and doctors in training, made by Seif, an individual developer in Egypt. It helps you record teaching cases and study them, and it includes a reference library of medicines sold in Egypt.
vayl is in alpha, so features may change, break or be removed. You must be 18 or older to use it.
vayl is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. Its fact chips, safety points, differentials to consider and library entries are study aids. They are not a diagnosis, they do not recommend treatment or doses, and they may be incomplete or out of date.
Never use vayl as the basis for a decision about a real patient. On the ward, follow your supervisors, your hospital's protocols and the official product information.
Your notes belong to you and are stored on your phone (see the Privacy Policy). Write teaching cases without information that identifies a patient, and follow the confidentiality rules of your faculty, hospital and Egyptian law. You are responsible for what you write and for keeping your phone secure.
vayl keeps notes out of automatic cloud backups. Losing your phone, resetting it or deleting the app deletes your notes, and we cannot recover them.
Library information comes from the Egyptian Drug Authority and recognised international references, and each fact is labelled with its source. We do our best to keep it accurate, but we cannot guarantee it. Check the official leaflet or a pharmacist before relying on any detail.
Please do not copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app or its library data, or use vayl in a way that breaks the law. The vayl name, logo and app are owned by their maker.
vayl is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent Egyptian law allows, we are not liable for any loss or harm arising from using the app or relying on its content, including lost notes.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under Egyptian law, including the Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell you in the app about important changes.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Egypt have jurisdiction.
